The easy, secure and private way to pay using your
Using Apple Pay is simple.
Your Cash Passport card information is secure because it isn’t stored on your device or shared when you pay.
Payments need to be securely authorised using Touch ID when paying via your iPhone, Apple Watch or iPad.
With Apple Pay, your payments are private. Apple Pay does not store the details of your transactions; so they can not be tied back to you.
How to add
Cash Passport to Apple Pay
Set up is simple. To add your Cash Passport to Apple Pay*, simply:
- On iPhone, open the Wallet and tap the plus sign. From there follow the onscreen instructions.
- On Apple Watch open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and select ‘Wallet & Apple Pay’ then tap ‘Add Credit or Debit Card’ from there, follow the onscreen instructions.
- On iPad go into Settings open ‘Wallet & Apple Pay’ and select ‘Add Credit or Debit Card’ from there follow on screen instructions.
How to pay using Apple Pay and
Paying with Apple Pay is easy and secure. To pay in shops, wherever you see the contactless symbol:
- Hold your iPhone near the contactless reader and place your finger on Touch ID.
- On Apple Watch, just double click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch up to the contactless reader.
- To pay within apps on iPhone and iPad, select Apple Pay as the payment method (where available) and place your finger on Touch ID.

Which devices can I use?
You can register iPhone 6/6+ and later models (running iOS8.3 or higher) including the iPhone SE, Apple Watch and iPads with Touch ID including:
For contactless payments: iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch
For in-app payments: iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, and iPad mini 3.
Can I enrol my Cash Passport in Apple Pay?
Apple Pay works with any cards bought directly through the website here. If you got your card from Tesco Bank or Eurochange, it is not currently eligible, however check back as more cards will be added in the future.
Where can I use Apple Pay?
You can use Apple Pay to make contactless payments wherever you see one of these symbols:
This will be the case even in countries where Apple Pay has not yet launched – anywhere your Mastercard Prepaid Card is accepted and you see the contactless logo you will be able to use it.
What is the transaction limit?
You will find that the transaction limit is different in different countries. Some retailers may allow you to spend up to the value loaded on your card whilst others (especially in countries where Apple Pay is not yet rolled out) may restrict transactions to the same value as the local contactless limit, this is currently £30 in the UK, $100 in Australia & generally €25 in Eurozone.
Does it cost anything to use Apple Pay?
No, it won’t cost extra to set up Apple Pay or to use it. You will need an active data plan or Wi-Fi connection to register and receive notifications. Based on your mobile plan and mobile network’s offering, additional message and data charges may apply.
All fees and limits of your cash passport product will be the same for Apple Pay transactions as for using your card.
How is Apple Pay secure?
Your card number is not stored on your device, instead a unique number is stored in its place. This number will only work with that device. You can view this number in your Wallet app by selecting a card and then clicking on the information button.

Remember that you must keep your Device and Security Details safe and secure. If you have already set-up your device to allow access (via a shared security code or biometric data), then you should ensure that you remove this ability for a third party to access and use your device.
How do I set up Apple Pay on my device?
You can set up Apple Pay within your Wallet app. To get Apple Pay up and running, you’ll need to add your card and make sure you’re running iOS 8.3 or higher.

How do I change my default card?
The first card you add to Wallet will become your default card. To change your default card follow the steps below.
On your iPhone or iPad:
1. Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay
2. Tap Default Card
3. Choose a new card
On your Apple Watch:
1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone
2. Go to the My Watch tab
3. Tap Wallet & Apple Pay > Default Card, then choose a new card
How do I remove my card from Apple Pay?
It’s easy to remove a card from Apple Pay. Here’s how:
a) Select the relevant card in Wallet, and then click on the ‘info’ icon in the bottom right corner to see the card details.
b) Scroll to the bottom to find the remove card option. This will instantly remove it from Wallet.
Can I see recent transactions in the Apple Pay Wallet?
You will be able to see the last 10 transactions made using Apple Pay on that device. All of your other transactions will be available to view through My Account or the Cash Passport app.
Why am I receiving notifications and how can I turn them off?
You will automatically receive notifications from your Wallet app for all payments made using your cash passport card on Apple Pay.
You can turn off notifications by selecting: Settings>Wallet & Apple Pay>Select Card> Card Notifications, or by tapping the ‘i’ in the Passbook app to get to the settings menu.
Please note, if you de-activate ‘Card Notifications’ you’ll no longer be able to view your transaction history in the Wallet app.
Can I lock Apple Pay?
Apple Pay is locked when the device is locked. A device passcode or Touch ID is required in order to use Apple Pay. If you’re using an Apple Watch, as soon as it’s removed from your wrist, it will be locked. It can’t be unlocked without a passcode being entered.
What should I do about Apple Pay if my card is lost or stolen?
Please call us immediately details can be found here. We will block your card so it can no longer be used and arrange to send you a new one. You will be able to continue using Apple Pay.
What if my iPad or iPhone is lost or stolen?
If you have the Find My iPhone app downloaded to your device, you can use it to remotely lock the device and disable the use of Apple Pay. If you don’t have the app, please call the number on the back of your card and mention that you’re an Apple Pay customer so we can disable it for you.
What if I unpair my Apple Watch from my iPhone?
If you unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone, all your Apple Pay information will be wiped from your Apple Watch. To use Apple Pay on your Apple Watch again, you’ll need to add your card information again using the same process as when you first set it up.
What happens when I replace or update my device?
If you replace or update your device, you’ll need to add your card(s) again to the Passbook/Wallet app using the same Apple Pay set up process as you did before.
Be sure to remove your card(s) from Apple Pay before you dispose of your device.
